About Manali - An Overview

Geographically, Manali is a town in Himachal Pradesh and is located in the Kullu district. Moreover, it is situated at a distance of approximately 270 km from the capital city of the state (Shimla). Cuisine of Manali

Manali is considered to be a resort town in Himachal Pradesh which is equally famous for its food. One of the most famous dishes of Manali is “Khatta” which is basically made from pumpkin. This is also considered to be a famous street food dish of Manali, prepared using pumpkin shaped in the form of crisped balls with dry mango powder. Another popular dish is Babru that belongs to the family of kachori (a crisp snack). It is prepared using black gram and is served with chutney.

Aktori is a type of cake which is prepared only in special occasions such as during festivals. It is made from buckwheat.
