Sonmarg

Kashmiri people call it Sonamarag which means meadow of gold. It is a typical hill station that falls under the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir and is located at a distance of 62 km from the town of Ganderbal and 80 km from Srinagar. It is considered to be the gateway or connecting link between Kashmir and China.

  • Vishansar Lake is precious for the Kashmiri Pandits. This lake is known to freeze during winter but in summer, its beauty gets doubled due to green grass and the occasional flock of sheep surrounding it. It is also known to be the source of the Nelum river flowing upwards in the Northern direction and attracts a lot of honeymoon couples with its beauty and serenity.
  • Baltal Valley can be a perfect destination for wild souls because this valley offers breathtaking views of the snowbound mountains just at a distance of 15 km from the town of Sonmarg. It is situated near Zoji La Pass, which is situated just at a distance of approximately 9 km from Sonmarg and is a connecting link between Kashmir and Ladakh.

Aru Valley is another beautiful spot of Pahalgam that couples can visit for mesmerizing views and hypnotizing beauty. It is situated at a distance of merely 12 km from Pahalgam and falls in the Anantnag district of Jammu & Kashmir.

Srinagar

With the sunset having a silky touch and various shades of white and tar on the roads, Srinagar is considered to be “Heaven on Earth”. Apart from its scenic beauty, it is also a musically inclined region where the music keeps floating in the air and touches every soul of Kashmir.

The people of Srinagar start their day with Fajr (pre-dawn prayer) and zikr, accompanied by mind-blowing winter melodies on nine bridges that connect the city with the Jhelum River and Dal lake.
